Your child will have the opportunity to explore, discover, play and learn with other children of the same age group. Our pre-school goals encourage the children to:
Share and cooperate with other children
Be comfortable in a group setting
Become self-reliant
Develop age appropriate skills
Have a positive attitude towards school
Love and look forward to Haggim and Shabbat
Acquire good Midot
Have fun
Our daily routine is divided into several different parts. SNACK-After most of the children have arrived they are served a snack and drink. At this time, the children begin to socialize and become acquainted with their peers and Morahs. CIRCLE TIME- During circle time, the children say Tefilla, give Tzedaka, sing songs, and discuss topics for the day. Mitzvah notes are read and encouraged at that time. The circle time activities create enthusiasm and explanation for the activities, which follow later in the day. CHOICE TIME- Young children learn best through play. Children are offered a choice to play in any of the play centers-housekeeping corner, blocks, table toys, library, arts and crafts and sand table. During the play, children learn to interact, discover, explore, cooperate, and share. The centers motivate the children to develop age appropriate skills in fun and exciting ways. Children are encouraged to do their own work and be proud of their accomplishments. PARSHA-The Parsha comes to life through drama, stories songs and projects. Learning the Parsha each week will enhance many literary skills including memory and reading comprehension. It will also increase your child’s vocabulary. Please make sure to review the Parsha newsletter’s each week with your child. EXERCISE- The children are motivated to develop their motor coordination by utilizing activities such as running, jumping, hopping, climbing, and catching, in our fully enclosed backyard. MUSIC AND MOVEMENT-We will be learning many new educational concepts through music and movement. We will be developing our gross motor skills as we dance, and follow different motions and steps! REST TIME-The children are given an opportunity to rest in a relaxing atmosphere. STORY TIME- Story time is special time, which provides the children the opportunity to relax and spend quiet, special moments together. We will start off the school year by covering a number of interesting and fun topics beginning with Haggim and following with the fall season and weather changes. Everything that takes place in the classroom will be done in a relaxed atmosphere and will be taught through stories, song, creative arts and crafts, games and play. We look forward to making your child’s school experience positive, exciting and fun.
